The interactive price chart can be tuned to match how you read a chart. Open Settings -> Chart. These styles apply to the "Customize chart" view.
Candles
- Set Up bars and Down bars colors from the swatches or an exact color
- Turn on Hollow candles to draw up-days as outlines and down-days filled, the classic style many traders learn on
- Your earnings beat and miss markers on the chart use these same colors
Volume
- Colored volume bars tints the volume histogram by up and down days. When it is on you can set Volume up and Volume down colors
- Volume average draws a moving-average line over volume. Pick a period (Off, 10, 20, or 50) and its color, so unusual volume stands out against its own average
Watermark and grid
- Show watermark puts a faded ticker and company name behind the candles
- Show grid adds faint price and date guides
Moving averages on price
Price moving-average lines are added from the chart's own controls, not from Settings. Open a stock's chart to add or change them.
Your color and style choices apply to every stock you open, so you set them once and move on.
