Watching: the stocks you follow

Every stock, list, theme and scan you watch in one place, with what each one emails you about and a way to change it.

Where: Watching, in the sidebar

This feature is part of a paid plan.

Watching is everything you follow, on one page. Stocks come first, A to Z, each with today's move and what it emails you about. Below them are the lists, themes and scans you watch.

A stock you watch also shows up in the Watching panel on Home whenever something happens on it.

Watching a stock

Click Watch on any stock page. On this page, Add at the top of the list does the same: type the ticker and it joins the list. Find a name narrows the list as you type.

What each stock emails you about

Each row says in words what that stock emails you about, such as "Earnings report". Click it to choose:

  • Earnings report: the reported figures, once they are out
  • Estimate revisions: analysts raising or cutting EPS or revenue estimates by more than the amount you set
  • Analyst ratings and price targets
  • Insider trades
  • Institutional holdings: funds adding to or cutting their stakes

You can also turn every email off for a stock. It stays on this page and on Home, it just stops emailing you.

Default alerts

Default emails, above the list, is what one click on Watch sets up. Click Change to pick a different default. Stocks still on the default change with it.

Stop watching

The × at the end of a row stops watching it. A stock gets a few seconds to Undo. Removing a list or a scan here only stops watching it: the list or scan itself is kept. Stop watching all at the bottom clears every watched stock and its alert settings, and leaves lists, themes and scans alone.

Watching comes with a paid plan, and with the free access every new account starts with.
